We are coming up on the last weekend in April (can you believe it!) and you know what that means?

It's PANOPLY weekend!

Panoply has established itself as one of the most popular festivals in the Huntsville, Alabama area.  Thousands descend every year on Big Spring Park to experience the art, music, food and fun that Panoply has to offer!  It is fitting that the word "panoply" translates to "wide array", because this festival definitely offers something for everyone to enjoy!

This year, six performance stages will highlight a diverse mixture of music, including bluegrass, gospel and jazz.  The Alabama Fiddling Championship will be held on Saturday, and will showcase five levels of fiddlers, from the masters to the novices.  Play an instrument?  Bring it along!  Many of the stages encourage audience participation, and you may happen upon an impromptu jam session to join in on!

Always a Panoply favorite is the Global Village, which features music, art, and food from all different cultures around the world!  The Art Marketplace is also a popular attraction, with artisans from all over the country participating in competitions and displaying their creations. 

Got kids?  There is LOTS for kids to do at Panoply!  The childrens' performance stage hosts musicians and puppeteers that will delight children of all ages, and (FREE!) make-and-take activities are abundant throughout the festival so children can engage their artistic creativity.

If good art, music, and food is not enough, every night is capped off with a spectacular fireworks display that will amaze you!

This year, Panoply will begin on Friday, April 23rd from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm, and Sunday from noon until 8:00 pm.  Tickets are only $5 per day, or you can get a weekend pass for just $10.  Panoply is smoke-free, green friendly, family friendly, budget friendly fun...can't beat that!
